Using Insurance for Lactation Services: TLN, Wildflower & Out-of-Network Benefits

TLN partners with several insurance companies to cover the cost of lactation consultations.

Some insurance plans, including certain Cigna plans may qualify for lactation visits through Wildflower Health.

Families can check their eligibility directly through Wildflower using the link.

Wildflower collaborates with Anthem to support growing families.

Anthem provides no-cost breastfeeding support with Wildflower Health to members of most commercial health plans. 

Log in to the Anthem Building Healthy Families program to check eligibility and schedule - it’s in the anthem.com portal or the Sydney Health mobile app.

If your insurance is not in network with our practice, you are welcome to schedule using our self-pay option.

After your visit, we can provide a superbill, which is a detailed receipt that you may submit to your insurance company to request reimbursement using your out-of-network benefits. Reimbursement amounts vary depending on your specific insurance plan. We recommend contacting your insurance provider to ask about out-of-network coverage for lactation services.

For your convenience, we are also happy to fax a claim to your insurance company on your behalf.

Milk It Lactation Services is committed to improving access to lactation care in our community. We offer a 30% discountfor families with New Mexico Medicaid, WIC benefits, or active military status.

Once we verify that you qualify for the program, we will provide a discount code to use at checkout.
