About Condola
My name is Condola and I am a Registered Nurse (RN) and Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). In addition to owning Milk It Lactation Services I also work at a baby-friendly designated hospital. I am passionate about baby-friendly care of the dyad. I strongly believe in promoting and protecting breastfeeding. I am especially passionate about projects that help to reduce health care disparities and improve health equity.
My nursing career began with me working as a postpartum nurse on a mother-baby unit. I love helping families with their babies! I provided education and support to expecting, new, and, experienced parents.
I started my own motherhood journey with the birth of my son, Micah. My own breastfeeding journey is what has helped to drive my passion for lactation education.
I started my journey to become an IBCLC while breastfeeding my son. I know first-hand what it’s like to deal with the unique challenges of breastfeeding.
Some of the issues I faced when breastfeeding included postpartum anxiety, nipple pain, nipple breakdown, nipple shields, pumping, returning to work, tongue tie and, weaning.
I also realized just how special the bond that I formed with my son was when I breastfed him. In fact, "Milk It" is what our family would say when it was time to breastfeed! I knew that I wanted to help other parents by promoting a positive lactation experiences through education and support.

As an IBCLC and Registered Nurse, I can provide evidence based tips for success, provide reassurance, and work through the challenges you are facing. I provide one-on-one support that is tailored to your specific needs.
